The days have gotten longer and warmer over the past few weeks, and it’s time to start transplanting some of my seedlings into my vegetable patch. Before I can start using the vegetable patch, I need to get it cleared and ready.
It is a great feeling to start moving my seedlings out of the greenhouse. It’s a sign spring is taking hold, and all the work to tend the seedlings has been worth it. It’s definitely a milestone to enjoy.
The weather over the last month has been erratic. We have had bright sunlight, rain, hail and snow, so I still need to protect the seedlings over the coming weeks from frost and the worst of the weather. By mid-May, the risk of frost will have passed, and my vegetable patch will start to come to life.
