The last month has been very frustrating with little to no progress in my garden or allotment. A mixture of bad weather and spending too much time at work has left my greenhouse sitting bare, my seed potatoes un-chitted and a growing sense that I’m getting behind.
I work for the NHS overseeing and supporting community health services and this winter has been particularly hard. A mix of recruitment problems and high demand results in a lots of extra work. By the time the weekend here I’ve got limited energy to tackle some of the less appealing jobs in the garden while it’s so cold.
The weather hasn’t been great. We’re on the verge of spring and we have been snowed on over the past 2 weeks leaving the grown rock hard and unworkable.
I’m hoping the weather will start to turn andnthis late Syrberian winter will give way to some warmer weather soon. I also have some annual leave in a week so I hope I this will give me a chance to get things set up for the year and maybe get a video out on youtube.
Lots to do but it will be worth it.
Goodness, it seems that many are still getting a lot of wintry weather this late.
Some areas of England had snow last week. We just got heavy rain. Temp is only just starting to pick up. Its been a pain. Looks like we are through the worst of it but still need to protect against frost for the next few weeks.
It was about 72 degrees today. The flowering cherries are finishing their bloom too fast.
